Wireless Access Point Firmware Upgrade - Main Campus - Part 3 of 3 Aug 10, 2026 04:30-07:00 CDT
This change is to upgrade wireless access points on the main side of campus to Aruba OS 10. We have separated the remaining buildings between two changes to minimize blast radius and potential user impact. See CIs for building included in this change
This change encompasses all Athletic, Academic, Residential, and Administrative buildings on the West side of 21st Ave and includes approximately 2,950 access points. This is the final phase in migrating all campus access points off the on-prem controllers and on to the new Aruba Central in the Cloud SaaS platform. Wireless connectivity for the buildings will be hard-down for up to 1 hour while the APs upgrade, reboot, and pull their new config from the cloud.
Based on our last two changes, we are confident in the upgrade process and anticipate the entire process to complete in approximately one hour. Additional time will be used to troubleshoot any issues that may come up, or to roll back changes if needed
